Another question: When you answer a call, and when your done or even during a call, the screen/phone is locked. I go to hang up and I have to unlock the phone to quickly hang up. Is this a bug or a feature?
Much Thanks!

Appears to be a bug as others have reported this happening as well. The phone is designed to shut the screen off when it is close to your face during a phone call, that's that the proximity sensor is for. However it normally (and should) turn back on when you pull the phone away from your face. For some reason, this doesn't work properly for some people and they have to unlock the screen.

I personally have never had it happen to me, but I'd recommend trying a soft reset (restarting the phone).

This happens to me all the time. It's like it has a mind of its own. Extremely frustrating. Come on samsung, lets get this update going.

This happened with my wife's Fascinate. Did the reset, turn off, etc but would still do at times. She was still within the 30 day window and Verizon swapped out her phone. Has not had it happen since. Looks to be a hardware issue??

This has happened to me while using Launcher Pro. Frustrating when it locks and you can't use speaker or any of the in call buttons. Doesn't drop the call, just that the phone locks immediately.
Uninstalled LP and the prob went away. Using ADW now and no probs.

hmmm... hardware issue? I always have this problem when I answer a call, I just figured it's because your phone was locked with a lock code and you wouldn't want someone to be able to unlock your phone when it gets a call.

Altho, I might take my phone back to vzw for this since it is very annoying.

I use LP+ and have no problems at all. I also use Widget Locker and turn off the native screen locker.

This happens to me a lot and its annoying since I use a lock pattern. I'd say it locks more than it doesn't.

I had this problem for a while. It quit after I uninstalled Lookout and Screen On. Not sure if either of them had anything to do with it.

I then setup a "phone off hook" rule with tasker. If "phone off hook" stay on = never & screen timeout = 5 min

The stay on according to how it is written should not do anything. The timeout also does not seem to keep the screen on, but now it wont lock in the 5 minutes.

So either this tasker code doesn't work and the issue was lookout or screen on, or this tasker code that should not work combines to keep the lock from working. Or the problem went away on its own.

Either way, I am now happy.

I use LP+ and Widget Locker as well. How did you turn off the native screen locker?? I'm on a Samsung Fascinate with Verizon and I don't see the option to turn it off. I tried going to settings/sound&display but the only option there is "glass" or "puzzle" for the unlock screen.
