Screen Locks During Games - Pokemon GO

Hey everyone. My girlfriend has the Galaxy S7 and she noticed that when she plays games on her phone (specifically Pokémon GO) and leaves the game open and running but doesn't touch the screen...it dims and then locks after a few seconds. I have looked online and have tried a few things to try and resolve this issue but to no avail. I know other people who have android phones who do not have this issue and I have an iPhone 6s and don't have the issue either. Does anyone know a fix for this or is that just how the S7 is?

Isn't this normal? Not all apps have a keep screen on setting. Depends on how the app was written.

You can always get an app like Tasker or Llama which can allow you to choose to make screen keep itself on depeding on what app is on foreground.

my way around this is to go into developer options, turn on keep screen on while charging. plug an external battery and its game on.
