Screen Mirroring Tablet Connecting to TV Problems

I thought I was doing everything right. I went to Settings/Connections/Screen Mirroring and I see my tv (Samsung LED 32). When I tap to connect I see the dots flowing from the tablet to the tv and it says 'connecting' but it just keeps doing that without ever connecting. I am using wifi, which is turned on, and I have verified the settings. I read somewhere that I should have AllShare Dongle enabled but when I look in Application Manager all I see is AllShare Cast Dongle S/W Update.

Any help at all is appreciated!

Which specific model are you trying to connect to? On most Samsung TV's you need to 'pair' it to your device first. In your TV there should be an option to select Screen Mirroring as an input; once you're there, you can get your phone tablet (sorry) to connect to it.

TV model 32uh5203, samsung galaxy 12.2 pro tab.

My tab can find the TV but just won't finish connecting. I allowed the connect when the TV prompted me to. It did manage to find my music and pic files but I want to tirelessly stream online movies, for example.

That's the one I had but mine was the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014, which should have been fairly similar to the Pro Tab you have. I never had issues as long as I set the TV to screen mirroring first as an input, otherwise it would never connect. I know it sounds dumb, but try turning WiFi on and off in your phone and deleting the WiFi on your TV and setting it back up again. I do remember having an issue before with IP refreshing on my modem. Disconnecting/Reconnecting seemed to clear the issue.
