Screen Mirroring wont stay turned off

Does anyone have this issue? I purchased a T-mobile Note 4 this past Sunday and got a software update yesterday. Every time I turn off screen mirroring and get out of setting and then go back into screen mirroring, it's on and trying to scan. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks.

When you go into screen mirroring in settings, it will automatically turn it on to scan. It is not on until you click on that. So, you are turning it on by doing that.

One quick albeit unrelated question, does having the battery percentage show on the status/notification bar drain the battery?
