Screen mirroring

Screen mirroring doesn't seem to support chromecast but I do see a Roku that popped up in that list from a neighbor I guess. Anyone get chromecast to work?

Screen Mirroring works with Chromecast. You just have to use the Chromecast app to connect to it.

Ok. Yes, i know i can mirror screen using other means. So, the "screen mirroring" on phone is useless in chromecast ?

The "Screen Mirroring" option in the device setting is used for connection to miracast enabled devices such as smart tvs or portable miracast devices like the NetGear Push2TV.

I believe the Chromecast utilizes similar technology but Google restricts you to connecting solely via it's Chromecast app.
