Screen: Moto G 3rd Gen vs. 1st

Is the Moto G 3rd Gen screen better than, equal to, or worse than the Moto G 1st Gen?

Looking at them side by side, the 1st gen has a slightly better contrast but with a hint of yellow (warmth) to it.
3rd gen slightly cooler display. Colour wise.
Brightness seems to be the same on both but i found the 1st gen display easier to view & use in bright sunlight.
To be honest there's very little in it, just a bigger screen on 3rd gen.
