Screen no longer going in sleep mode

Hi everyone,

So it seems that after getting my 4.2.2 update my screen no longer goes into sleep mode and just stay awake all the time, whether it is locked or unlocked (and if it is unlocked then it stays that way). I can't guarantee this happened right after the 4.2.2. update as I'm noticing this now, but usually I turn off the screen myself with the power button.

Has anyone experienced the same problems? What could I do to check what is wrong?

sorry, should have been more specific.

This is independent on whether the phone is charging or not in fact.

My sleep settings are set to go to sleep after 15 seconds at the moment so that I could notice more easily if it was working or not.

There are independent settings for sleep and daydream when charging. CHeck those out.

So it turns out that after rebooting this is no longer happening.

I wonder if this can be due to Carbon (the backup app). My phone is not rooted so in order to be able to use carbon I have to connect the phone to the computer and run the carbon desktop program. I think I did that last night to back up my phone. Now was the first time I rebooted since then. I will have to try it out later when I'm at home and can reactivate carbon using my personal computer.

Yes, I have noticed that too. Sleep no longer works. Wifi stays enabled even when set to never when in sleep mode. This started with the 4.2.2 update.

Hi! I hope somebody can help me here. My samsung s4 ( sc04e Docomo )is not going into sleep mode either when its charging or not. Even if my phone is already turned off and when I charge it, it still keeps on awake. I already reboot my cellphone for several times and nothing's change. I asked technician for probable cause and they told me it might be the power button. But I doubt it because whenever its turned off the problem still occurs. What shpuld I do? Any idea please.
