screen not glued on properly???

Jack, sounds like you and I are in the same boat. You say everything I want to say about mine, even down to the one main problem I have with it - not liking the charging port design - too much wiggling for comfort and it's kind of annoying to plug in. I'm just extra cautious with mine when charging as well.

Otherwise, it's super light, at least compared to the kindle fire and xoom, very thin, and really pretty to look at. Love the screen and its viewing angles, too.

I have the same clicking on the left side... My only real issue other than poor wifi reception. I'm in the same boat, trying to convince myself to live with it so I don't have to go through the hassle of returning etc.

UPDATE:

I went into Gamestop and they told me they would send an email to Asus requesting a replacement device for a customer with a defective unit. They still didn't have any in stock when I went in last week. (January 5-6th)

They called me a week later to tell me my replacement device was in. I jumped in my car and drove to the store. the new device is built perfectly, no more clicking screen! The guy at Gamestop made sure of this because he made me open it in the store and check the integrity of the device. I got it home and it found my network, but the signal strength was super weak. I was so angry. I restarted the Prime and haven't had any wifi issues since. If it continues to show a weak signal randomly I will be returning this one to Asus with a letter of not so kind words about how they will be sending me a fully functioning tablet and I don't care if they lose money and have to send me the new Prime that will be coming out in two months time.

This is ridiculous to think they had problems with this version, so they fix the issues and instead of fixing them and telling their customers who just plopped down $500-$600 that they will rectify the issues and make their early adopters justify their purchase by replacing their broken tablet with a new one that works, they will just release the new, functioning tablet for $100 more and say screw you to them.

I will be waiting for them to discontinue the tf201 and then I'll be calling them up requesting the new version. 1 year warranty... yes sir.

Mine is doing the same thing clicking directly to the right of the ASUS symbol. It is interesting that according to the teardown there is no glue on the portion of the screen that is having the problem. I wonder if some of the clips are breaking due to stress.

Transformer Prime Teardown

Glad to hear it! This is the first I've heard of someone having a perfect original Transformer, especially the early builds, lol the forums were filled with headaches.

People don't typically post unless there are issues. Nobody ever gets a new tablet and says "and the glass mounting in the screen appears perfect, it doesn't move or click or anything!" People just expect it to work correctly and you hear about deviations from expectation.
