I have both the note 5 and galaxy s7 edge side by side full brightness and the Note 5 is alot brighter and the whites look whiter too is that accurate? Is there setting I'm missing? I hope that I didn't get a faulty phone or the screen is just not working?

That's been one of the complaints about the S7 series. I've heard that people are having to set their brightness to close to 50% just for regular indoor use. That's almost as bad as what I go through at times with my LG G4. It's pretty annoying having to toggle the phone's brightness just to make everything visible and legible enough, as well as save some battery life.

So the screen is dimmer on the s7 to the note? If so that's really disappointing.

Yeah I posted a thread about this as well. In direct sunlight it's hard to see. 1st Samsung flagship I've felt like that about in a long time.

It's nothing new. The Edge variants are slightly dimmer than their flat counterparts.

It's dimmer than my moto x pure. My moto x pure looks great in any lighting. But Samsung has some nice colors but it should of been brighter..
