Purchases two Galaxy Tab 2 tablets March 2013. In June, one of them suddenly could seemingly not be turned on. Thought it was drained battery, did the charging thing many times using both chargers to eliminate that as cause for device not coming on (e.g., screen remaining blank.) Device would seemingly heat up from the charge, but screen never turned on. Ordered new battery in June. Procrastinated. Today December 1, 2013 get around to installing new battery. Pain in the ... to get out of case. New battery installed as per video. While installing battery and before all ribbon cables installed, areas of the tablet (like near microprocessor, close to power switch) heated up as if processor running and drawing current. All ribbon cables installed. Still out of case, tested the screen and nothing. Much tweaking of ribbon cables, power off, volume + and power off, etc. to get device to turn off, but without screen giving messages [or any signs of life], can't "navigate" to power-off, so who knows what power-off state I truly reached.
Given the above symptoms of heat generation and no screen functionality, what is the next trouble-shooting / repair step to figure out why no-worky?
