Screen off notes

I'm very interested in this feature. I was wondering if it would be possible for the note 4?

I am in the process of making my Note 4 self aware.

I doubt it, unless someone makes a Note 5 custom ROM supporting this. At minimum, it would require root and it's own lock screen, but it would be always running.

You could download Note Buddy, disable any screen lock and turn on things like Screen On on S Pen removal and make it open S Note at the same.
It's not the same, but..

Never see Sammy supporting this, as their baby is the Note 5 now. The 4 minus is in the past now.

Once an ambitious Dev gets his grips on the Note 5, I wouldn't be surprised it he rips the apks and posts them like someone did on the S6. Time will tell.

But with a custom ROM is possible, after all I think that feature is software based more than Hardware based if I'm not mistaken.

Let's wait and see what the folks at XDA can do.

Exactly.. Note 4 update scheme since it's release has been... Annoying and frustrating the way they handle a flagship.
