Screen on/off sound?

Is it possible to change the screen on/off sound.

would love to be able to set a custom sound for this but can't find where to do it in the settings.

I don't think it can be easily done without changing system level files and/or root access.

This bothers me too. I've turned my system volume all the way off to shut it up, but that also mutes Google now, the phone pad and probably other stuff.

Yeah you need root to be able to change the lockscreen sounds.

You can disable it completely (independent of volume), but not change the noise played.

Search for lock sound by extreme developers in android store
