As you can see i barely have any sot,but i managed 60 hours + of standby which is why device idle is the first on the list. I disabled a bunch of apps facebook being the first. On my first day with a g6 and my settings i managed 6hours sot easily. It's been said alot already but sot and battery life is subjective no one has the same settings and usage so results will always vary.

Edit: Now at 82 hours on battery and about 3hours sot kinda crazy how good standby is....

I have 21% battery life left and SOT shows 3 hr 20 min. So I'm expecting close to 4 hr SOT by the time the battery is dead

Yeah I figured it's prob Facebook and Facebook messenger as the battery hogs. But my wife has and iPhone and me the G6 and she prefers to use messenger. Hopefully the Zerolemon will get me thru the entire day haha. It would be sad if it didn't

mine was 4-6 hours before the June security patch, normally 5+. now I get at most a little over 4. pretty disappointing hit.

Facebook drains a lot of battery guys.. I never used it much, but i remember one time i install it on my G3 and suddenly i noticed that i am listening to music ( wifi/data off ) and the battery kept droping so fast and i thought damn about to have bootloop issue or something and then one day on facebook i saw an article that contains informations about how deleting the the facebook app can improve your battery life for 30-40%. So i did and the battery went back to normal and i never reinstall it back. Now i have chorme shortcut for it but idk im on facebook once, twice in a month so. But fb lite, and msg lite are okay replacements for talked apps.

Yeah I just disabled fb and installed FB lite. Haven't noticed much a difference. But I can't install messenger lite because me and my wife use the video option alot when I'm traveling, which the lite version doesn't support.

On a side note. It sucks that because my G6 is the carrier version (AT&T) Facebook is preinstalled and can't be removed permanently, only disabled. That's so annoying.

Mine's canadian and it's the same but once disabled it's a bit like you removed it : it only takes memory it shouldn't be using either ram or battery. To completely remove it i think lg package disabler pro might do it,then again i have no clue since i don't have the app.

Really ? Wtf that sucks, and i am kinda curious why do i have it recommended i update centar recommended to install.. I hate when someone keeps forcing something i don't want. Like the google preinstalled apps i literly use duo and chrome nothing else and i don't want anything else from them. Thats just nouuuu

you sideloaded FB Lite right? It's not on the Play Store. FB Lite is actually made by facebook for developing countries that doesn't use too much data. There are apps that copy the name in the play store though.

Would love to get y'all's opinions on these screenshots. The app that i suspect is draining is called xDrip, but it doesn't show up. It uses Bluetooth connection every 5 minutes to link up with a sensor on my body to monitor the blood sugar readings.

Could the battery settings be interpreting this drain as something in Android system or OS? I guess the only way to truly tell would be to uninstall the app and see how battery is, but it is vital for me, so I would rather not.

Yeah sideloaded FB lite. I have sideloaded a few apps in my day..

I don't churn and burn often... so my GSAM stats are misleading (2h30m over about 25 hours)... that estimate is often as much based on my average usage as it is a projection. On Accubattery and 3C Battery, it's giving me about 5 hours over 30 hours between charges.

No complaints about that.

So maybe Facebook lite app does make a difference. Today, I got almost 4 hr 45 min SOT after disabling Facebook and using the FB lite. Before this I only got barely 4 hrs SOT

So a minimum of 45 minutes more SOT I'll take. I did almost everything the same, about 70-75% brightness and no games
