I may be the odd man out here, as I don't see anyone else using DeX. I used the standard desktop along with Nova Prime Launcher for about a year before trying out DeX mode. After some time getting used to it, I now, never use the standard desktop.

There is a couple of features I miss. First is the customization you have with Nova. It enhances the desktop immensely. DeX can customize very little. But the other issue is more important. I can't get apps (especially Samsung Notes) to rotate into portrait layout. I have tried auto-rotate .... doesn't work. Settings doesn't seem to allow different rotations.

Can anyone point me the direction of what to do? Is it even possible?

Thanks in advance.

I use it all the time when I'm on the tablet! :D BUT, like you, I did hate that little detail (with the case i had at the time, it made more sense to use the tablet facing the other side, which meant I couldn't use DeX). When i upgraded to the Tab S6, it also, at first, didn't allow for rotation but an update came at some point that did let me flip DeX depending on the tablet orientation. Not sure if that also made its way to the S4, but I don't see why not.

I don't have any issues with apps not 'flipping' if DeX does, though. However, I only rotate within landscape (DeX doesn't support portrait mode), and since apps are more geared towards being used in windowed mode, this also shouldn't matter as it should only adapt to the window size (if the app allows resizing or if you've enabled that option in the labs) and flip one way or the other depending on the entire desktop orientation.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, rotation (among other functions) would be helpful. Although, I think DeX is an afterthought with Samsung. No regular change/improvements. There are many that could be made.
