Screen protection for shatterproof screen

Hi All,

I Just got a Droid 2 Turbo with the new shatter-proof screen and I'm LOVING it. I do have a question about appropriate screen protection. I noticed that as part of the makeup of a shatterproof screen, it has a peel-off "lens." Is this essentially a screen guard (the sort that we would usually buy separately and put on the phone) or is it something different?

More to the point, should I put a screen guard over this layer?

I think there are no need of display protection for Droid turbo 2 because i was seen its 100 time drop test and after 100 phone screen is on and touch is working fine.
