Screen Protector - P7 Pro

For those looking for a tempered glass for their 7 pro, I just applied this one from Amazon. It's along the same model as the WSD and AM Film. Works great with FP sensor and it comes with 2 extra. Just follow the instructions.

I have a Spigen case with it and it literally goes to the very end of the case. Gonna give it a go and see how it lasts after a few weeks. View attachment 349313

Thank you for the recommendation! Yes, please keep us posted on how it holds up over the next couple of weeks!

I have late in evening, got 2 small bubble i couldn't get out never happened with Dome and the glue is a lot stronger then Domes , i hope can take screen protector off later in the week to try another install .
Well.... Removal and installation of the 2nd protector went great. No bubbles, fingerprint works great, etc.....But, when the case has smudges I notice this protector has the same circle. It ONLY shows when it's dirty. Looks pristine when it's wiped down. My OCD is getting the best of me. Maybe some sun will remove it..... Maybe I'll return it20221016_084725~2.jpg

I went ahead and ordered the Whitestone Dome. At $32 shipped (USA) for a 2-pack including the UV lamp, it's a lot cheaper than I remember it being for the last phone for which I'd bought it.

I did not know that searching for good screen protector will be so problematic. I cannot find any temped glass that has no hole for fingerprint scanner. I bought some foils but the installation was so complex and i was not able to finish it. All of them I just sent into bin! I saw some tpu screen protection in Google Store but it isn't in Stock at the moment. I don't want to use my phone without any screen protection...

Thanks for providing that link ... I have used Zagg screen savers in the past and love them. Was this actually easy to apply yourself? The VZW store no longer carries them, and I'd have to do it my "shaky hand" self.

I actually screwed the first one up then went to the Verizon store and picked up the second one. One of the stores sales folk applied the second one. Made it look real easy after I had screwed up the first one.:p

Back in the days of Gorilla Glass 3 screens were much harder to scratch. But that glass was harder (thus the scratch resistance) but more brittle and easier to crack. Also, screens back then were FLAT all the way to the edges making it very easy to apply a tempered glass protector. Today even a flat screen still has a small curve at the very edge. But today's Gorilla Glass is more flexible and harder to crack on a drop, but "maybe" a little easier to pick up those minor surface scratches. My take is that I have pretty much given up on Tempered glass screen protectors. Hate the wet application film type...YUK. So while I always recommend a case, I think a screen protector is not as needed as it was in the past. YMMV

If anyone is a Skinomi fan, the pixel 7 pro is edge to edge, so it is not case friendly.

I installed the 6 pro Skinomi, it is wonderful on the Pro, if you are using a case.

Haven't read full thread, but I bought IMBZBK, fits great on my P7, but FPS is unusable after registering fingers twice with protector on.

Did you register FP with the bare screen on w/protector on?

I registered after I installed it. The FP sensor works flawlessly.

Did you do this for the pro? Or the regular 7?

Did you use the weight which was included with the box? It's specific in when you put on and take off.....

Regular P7, so my packaging is a bit different than the pic you posted. Not sure what you mean by "weight" but I don't seem to have anything like that.

I enable use screen protector toggle in settings

If that's the same as increasing touch sensitivity, I've tried with that both on and off.

Edit: yeah looks like we're talking about the same setting

I'm guessing yours was just a regular apply to screen?

Nothing with glue? Like a whitestone, etc.?
