Has anyone replaced the OEM screen protector yet on their Flip3? I somehow got a nick on my screen and was curious about replacing it.

As careful as I am with mine, my screen protector is starting to come unglued around the camera cutout

Mine hasn't come unglued at all. I'm pretty careful with it as well. Still trying to figure out how I nicked it though. Ugh!

There are several YouTube videos of people replacing their screen protector. Some due to damage. Others that just wanted a different one. Guess it's doable, if needed.

Same here....I try to be EXTREMELY careful with the OEM protector. I only clean and wipe the inner and outer screen protectors(outer self Installed) with a spectacle microfibre cleaning cloth.

Yeah, I have watched a few of them... My luck typically sucks though. If I tried to peel it off the screen itself would probably crack or some crap like that..lol... looks doable though, like you said.

Typically all I use is microfiber... it must be somewhat soft though.

Can you replace it with any screen protector....or is there a specific type or make that you have to use... why do they say you should not remove the current protector...what is different or special about it....is it made from a special type of material?? My usb cable fell on my screen and I got a nick in as well... hope its only the protector that got damaged as I now have this bright spec/ pixel on my screen

Most of what I have seen on blogs across the platform says not to remove, it can easily damage main screen during removal due to the adhesion. Yes I have seen a few videos on the older flips being replaced however not so many on the Z3 Flip which I believe has different material for the main. If the protector needs replaced then I guess you could take it somewhere or try yourself. Definitely do some research on this and maybe your findings will differ from mine. Good Luck!

I'm very interested in this also. Mine got nicked also. I have no idea how I did it. Maybe Best Buy Geek Squad will have the oem replacement and install them?

Do we know what the actual screen material is made of? I know it's called ultra thin glass (UTG) but is it actually a glass material? I hope the screen is ok and not nicked if it's not actually glass.

I called ubreakifix and they said they can't replace the installed screen protector. They said they don't install protectors. Only the screens.

Well that kinda sucks. That's who I was gonna check out for replacement. There's a video on YouTube by Gadget Goddess that shows her replacing the z Flip 3 protector with a matte one... seems easy enough... my luck, my whole screen will pull up during removal... lol

Just got some info on this. I went in to Best Buy today and The Geek Squad has either the OEM Samsung screen protector or they will install also a ZAGG screen protector which has a lifetime warranty. He said they may have to order them though because they have been changing so many of the screen protectors on the Flip 3's lately. But they carry both and will do it it with Samsung's OEM product.

Oh, thanks for this tip!

Mine is okay so far, but the soft coding is wearing off, making it harder to clean.
