Screen Protector

Is anyone using a screen protecter? Any recommendations or side effects noticed?

I have a droid X and I use the screen protector from verizon. I did the same when a had a blackberry, never had a problem and yes they to protect the screen, My fingers slide smooth over the screen and it does not hinder the way the phone should work. And they last, mine is on for about six months. I am sure you will not be sorry for using one. But you will be very sorry if you dont and you get a scrach on the screen.

I want a protector that's like what apple uses, or better. Anything like that at Worst Buy cause I was gonna hit that place tonight and see what they have. I also need it for my wife's Optimus Prime S so.....

I was at the sprint store today to get my 3D activated. (It wouldn't activate through their website).
The clerk had not seen the 3D yet and she had to make a phone call before she could activate it. I asked if they could sell any protectors today. she said she would check but thought she would have to wait till tomorrow.

She came back with 6 or more different styles of cases. I choose the Otter Box, two piece hard case that snaps to your belt (belt half is removable) built in clear screen protector and removable rubberized back. Still getting used to the phone but I think I am going to like this.

That's definitely the Otterbox defender. I think I will get one at Radioshack if they have them.

I have the EVO 4g but don't use a screen protector. I know I really need to get one but I love how it looks naked.

No the screen protector has little to no effect on the 3d function of the screen. I got an invisibleshield case and car charger for $60 at best buy.like $20 off, so basically a free screen protector

No, using a screen protector will not affect the 3D but scratching it will... I ordered mine from optishieldz.com . I used them on my evo 4g and they were awesome.. Full Body Kits 2 for $20.00 and free shipping...

Anyone get the smudge free invisibleshield screen protector. I did and while it is great with virtually no smudges I did notice it has a strange sparkling effect as it seems to diffuse the light off the screen. I was wondering if this gets better as it dries over days... Any experiences?

Yup, I got the smudge-free Zagg protector. I posted my thoughts on a similar thread, but in a nutshell: I hated it. What you gain in the supposed "smudge-free", you lose in color quality. That was something I could not live with, especially with a qHD screen. It got marginally better when it dried, but not enough to make me keep it. I exchanged it at my BB, luckily! I couldn't believe what a difference it made! I'm totally happy with the standard invisible shield.

Well I just took it off and put everything carefully back in the box.. it's going back for a refund.

I got my EVO 3D last wednesday and tried to go without any screen protector. I decided today that at lunch I would get one just to be on the safe side. Having shot numerous photos and and a couple videos I must say that there is a difference.
I purchased a three pack of protectors from sprint and had them put one on today at lunch. My pictures from last week look more pixelated. It seems that the sweet spot has diminished. I am considereing taking off the protector and being more careful than ever with this device.

Has anyone else noticed this same effect?

Hopefully someone makes protectors for the camera area only. I would try it with no case if I could just do a little protection on the back side.
