Screen protectors vs case

I recently had my nexus 5 screen fixed and I now have a screen protector on it along with the case. The problem is I don't really like the case so I was wondering if my screen would be at risk if I only had the screen protector and not the case. Would it be safer to keep both?

Yes, the screen is more prone to damage with just a screen protector and not a case. Screen protectors are really designed for protection from scratches, not from damage due to dropping the device.

I prefer to use both ( i only use case )
But u should save your nexus screen and best thing can do it for u is Case!
Another option that case give u is u can save sides of your phone from damage .
It's so important Bcuz your hard keys r there!

Got this google nexus case off eBay, feels just like the phone without a a case it even says nexus on the back, its like u don't even have a case on it, and tempered HD glass as a screen protector, they're really delicate phones I'd rather keep it safe at all times

Works for me. I clip the holseter into my pocket or on my belt, depending on the pants I'm wearing, and if it starts raining I move it up and clip it in my shirt pocket. I did buy a couple of holsters locally that lasted about a month each. Flimsy clips. And, I got a friend who works in a cell phone store to put my screen protector on. I'm old with shaky hands and bad eyes. She did a great job except there is a fingerprint on the inside on the edge of the screen protector. It will be there forever.
