AC Question
Screen Replacement Over Heating Sony Z3 Compact
Hey guys
Recently dropped my Sony Z3 compact on the road, resulting in a cracked screen. The screen was completely broken, with it not responding at all.
I took to to a guy up the road, he charged me $155 for replacement of screen and labour. After pick up, I noticed the screen would get incredibly hot(heat seemed to originate from the area behind the microphone) and would eventually heat up the entire phone within 5 minutes.
Later, the screen raised completely, I'm assuming the glue has melted and come loose.
I took the phone back to guy, and he "replaced" the screen with a new one (says its genuine), but the same problem has occurred. I am now stuck with an overheating Z3 compact with the screen not glued at all.
My questions are:
1) is it possible that the heat could melt the glue sticking the screen to the phone
2) is it possible that the single drop could have caused the phone to overheat
3) What other options do I have.
Thanks in advance guys
