Screen retention arghhhh!!

I really love this v20 and I wish to keep this for years. However, this screen retention gives me doubts on this phone. I can have the screen replaced as it's still covered by the warranty. But what if that warranty is out?I don't want to have the screen replaced every 6 months because of this.
Screen retention got worse just in days.. Damn
Should I just sell this phone?

It's a typical scree retention where a previous image displayed get stuck for some time on your screen. It's pretty annoying and really bothering.

It's aggravating....it looks like burn in but it goes away. im used to it now

Vinconde, that's a new one for me.
I have not read about it in any V20/V10 forum that I have been on.
Nor have I seen it with either of my V10 or V20's. I have had my 20 since last November.

It's annoying how it happens every time i use my phone for at least 20min without any heat on my phone. Does it get worse for you man? Mine started on the 2nd screen. Then lower part of the 2nd screen got the same thing too

That's good for you. I've been reading about this and people got it on their v10s. Rare case on v20. As of now. Hmmm

That test is disabled on Verizon... Not sure how many carriers if works on.

Last night was the first time that is lasted for a while. It too it a minute to go away. I haven't seen it on the 2nd screen.

Went to the service centre earlier to have it replaced. So got a new display now AND new motherboard cos after he changed the display, the phone doesn't vibrate anymore.. Hmm not that confident on the technician too cos he insisted that this is an Amoled display and thought the issue was a screen burn not a screen retention. I was like yea right loool. However he told me that screen retention will for surely happen on v20 as the device is heating up on mid to heavy usage.
That stuck to me and got worried.

Does the latest software update got issues? I want to know if it's better to keep it stock or upgrade it

What the heck you must have a defective phone. I always set mines to 100% brightness, running Google Maps for over an hour. No signs of image retention. Can you show us photos of your screen? Might be another issue. Also if it's image retention, it should go away on its own. Hope you're not trolling.

Search HD stuck pixel fix on YouTube and run the video on full screen for 15 minutes. Always works on my laptop screen when I get image retention.

For what it's worth, a screenshot wouldn't have shown anything, as it's a hardware issue with the screen itself. A photo of the screen would've worked, though.

You live near LG's service center? That's extremely convenient. Everyone else usually has to mail in their device for warranty.
