screen rotation broken

Screen rotation icon on pull down menu is turned on but screen will no longer rotate. There doesn't even seem to be any way to change the screen orientation manually. Any ideas? Tab s2 8.

Did you try a restart?

Yes I did and it didn't help...but today it's working again!
