Ever since Android 12 I haven't been able to figure out how to get back the option to allow auto rotation only in apps that I specifically select. Oddly I tried googling it and I can't find any information about how this setting works. I know I had the option before because the screen would only rotate when I was in YouTube or adobe Acrobat. For other apps I would need to manually turn on auto rotation so screen rotates when I'm in landscape. If anyone knows how to bring it back please let me know. Thank you in advance.

try bixby routines

I tested this out and if you have Rotation turned off normally, you can quickly create a new Bixby Routine
If: App Opened - YouTube
Then: Screen Orientation - Auto Rotate
When Routine Ends: Reverse these actions

With my auto-rotation turned off, I open YouTube and auto-rotate is now on and works. As soon as I close YouTube, it turns auto-rotate back off.

You can add another routine for any other app you want to do the same thing.
