Screen rotation stopped working on Hannspree HSG1279?

I am still fooling with this Hannspree HSG1279 tablet running 4.2.2. The screen quit rotating yesterday. I have been looking ever since for information to try to fix the problem to no avail. I tried a factory reset, a hard reset, cleared cache partition, can't seem to find clear Dalvik cache option in Recovery menu. This is really not fun. Does anybody have any idea of what to try next? I am stumped. Device is rooted, but that's all.

Welcome to Android Central! Check the Settings/Accessibility menu and make sure Auto-Rotate is checked on.

If what Diddy said doesn't work you can always try this app, I use it all the time so my devices don't flip into portrait mode which I just hate. You'd have to go in and change the orientation in the app, but at least you could get it to rotate.

I have a Hanspree SN1AT71 ipad and recently it is working very slowly! Only two days ago, the screen rotation was working fine but then suddenly, the screen rotation became very eratic and when you hold the ipad with the camera on the upper side, the screen would be upside down, and when you hold the pad with camera at lower edge the screen would be right way up with respect to the ipad.
Having read this thread, I re-checked for the tick in settings anr it was there! But then by a chance, I re calibrate the ipad by placing it on a flat surface and now the screen rotation is working fine!
