Anyone else having screen rotation issues? As in, it won't rotate. I'm referring to Chrome and mail, not the home screen because I know that isn't supposed to.

Pull down the notification bar and click the lock icon to enable it.

Did you enable screen rotation in settings?. If not it under the accessibility option.

Maybe you need to do a factory reset, I always factory reset when getting a new device

Already tried that and no luck there either. This device is really starting to give us an idea of how much the Quality Control Department adds to the cost of products.

Someone in this N7 forum mentioned an app for this. I can't remember the name of the app so I'm looking for the post now. I did find one in Google Play market but don't think it's the same one.

Do you think they'll be able to port a launcher to achieve this in the near future? It's running the phone UI right?

If it really doesn't work, it may mean the accelerometer is defective. Mine came locked but began rotating normally after changing the setting in the swipe-down menu.

Thanks, just got mine in the mail and it works perfectly. Clicked that icon and the screen rotated. Very nice tablet so far!

I seem to have an issue as well. Mine will only rotate if I tilt the screen towards the ground about 45 degrees and then it rotates. I actually kind of like that because the screen is less prone to rotating when I don't want it to.

I downloaded the game Marble Maze to just test the gyroscope and it seems to work okay.

Are others having to do this too to get it to rotate?

There is no option in setting for screen rotation?

Wow! Who would have thought that accessibility would be where are those screen rotate feature would be. That is where it is though, works fine now.

In a way it makes sense to have it there. The auto-rotate doesn't work for all apps on its own, though. I installed the Ultimate Rotation app and now so far rotate is working on everything.

There was definitely something wrong with that device because no setting nor way of holding it would get it to rotate. I ended up sticking with my first (of 3) 7s, screen flicker and ever so slight screen separation and all.
