Screen snap of nexus prime?

That definitely looks fake because why does the top edge look like that then the letters at the bottom look different from the top and the bottom letters are hanging off the side.
It's the gradient effect of the background mixed with the angle, picture focus, and lighting.

The letters on the bottom are not on the phones actual screen. It is super imposed as a watermark for GSMARENA.com who released the photo :p

To help put my extreme dislike for the bezel in perspective ... I really don't like the idea of having software buttons. I'd much prefer the capacitive buttons (and most prefer hardward buttons). That said, I was thinking that I could possibly overcome my dislike if the software buttons were roughly in the same place on the front of the phone as the capacitive buttons (basically keeping the physical size the same, but increasing the display size, and thereby allowing the software buttons to be in the same location relative to the front of the device as the capacitibe buttons). But, with this screen shot, it appears that the actual display size didn't change and there's a huge bezel where capacitive buttons would normally be, but yet no buttons. Just don't care for it at all. So, I'm with those that really hope that this is a fake.

That's the great thing about Android though, u always have choice. U r not stuck with almost the same design with every phone. (Cough cough iPhone 4s.)

sent from my Droid X, which also eats iPhones.

I would have preferred no leak at all today. Its not like there was anything jaw-dropping about today's other announcements.

Oh I can't wait for the 3rd.

Those buttons are part of the screen lol you can see the separation of the screen and the bezel on the right im pretty sure this is fake

Edit: I saw the thread explaining the 4.6 inch screen thingy and now im about half half with believing it or not lol sorry guys

So it would appear that all was done was moved the buttons up to the screen which now leaves an empty big bezel.

user "edizzle" mentioned a cool idea: It would be pretty awesome if the big bezel space was used for a touch sensitive swipe area. You could make the buttons appear and reappear or use it to lock/unlock the device.

Would be cool too if you can change the software/onscreen buttons to like something custom...of if you could theme these new software buttons.

wishful thinking.

Edited: added respect :)

Hah, It WAS you....I didn't know who said it, too lazy to back in the threads.

Yes, this swipe idea would be friggen awesome and innovative. But...well...again wishful thinking.

sushi, i love your post edit!!!! yes wishful thinking. the more i think about it, it actually makes alot of sense.

I think it would be a really cool concept idea. Many would probably say that there's no point though because you already have a giant 4.6 inch screen to swipe on....but i'd like the giant bezel there to do SOMETHING haha.

seems like a giant waste. Obviously ICS will use capacitive buttons in older phones (see Nexus S leak) but why include that on the new Nexus?

Maybe they couldn't find a way for ICS to detect if the device it's running on, has hardware buttons or not so they had to add an option for it. I'm just guessing right now but that seems like the most logical thing to me. :p

yeah, because some of us are expecting them to keep the size of the phone more pocket friendly by reducing the size of bezel with no buttons. Having the large bezel pretty much negate the benefit of having software buttons. You only lose the screen real estate for having the buttons there without much benefit.

definitely cropped. they resolution is a good clue it has been cropped. if true, that means the whole photo is out there somewhere!!
