Screen stays lit after notification

After I get a notification my screen stays lit unless I hit the button on the side. I read online that sometimes it's because smart screen is turned on but I've already uncheck that and it's hasnt fixed the problem.

Mine is doing the same. Seems to have just started recently though I don't believe I have installed any new apps recently or made any other such changes. Daydream is off, Stay Awake wasn't on, Smart Stay isn't on, and it doesn't matter whether it is charging or not. Tried clearing the cache partition - didn't change anything. Hoping to avoid a factory reset but I don't know how to fix this.

Do you have Light Manager installed by chance? I had the same problem and finally figured out it was the Wake Screen setting in the app.

Try turning off the show notification on the locked screen. Then reboot and turn on the feature back again.

Mine was doing the same thing then after about 3 weeks, just stopped. Today, a software update installed and it's doing it again! I am so not impressed with Samsung right now!!!
