Screen stays on when plugged in

First, this isn't about the "always on" feature. Second, I did search the forums but couldn't find what I was looking for.

When I charge my phone, the screen is happily in the "always on" state, which is fine. Then when it's finished charging, the screen comes on "for real" and stays that way. So if I leave it charging over night (for example), then it can potentially be on a static screen for hours.

How do I fix that? I've got the screen saver enabled but it never comes on.

Go to Settings>Developer Options. (If you don't see that, go first to Settings>About Phone an tap Build Number 7 times. Then tap the Back button, and you should see the Developer Options.) Look for the Keep Screen Awake option, and make sure it's unchecked. Wireless store reps sometimes turn on this function to keep the screen on while they're transferring data from your old phone to the new one. Then they forget to turn the option off.
