Screen stays on while charging

My screen stays on while charging. Can I turn this feature off?

It should have been off by default but check the developer option in the settings app.

I don't have mine on me but check for developer settings in the settings. Should have a option to keep the screen on or off during charging.

turn it off with the power button.

It is because your daydream is switched on and selected as colors. To avoid this, go to settings-display-daydreams and switch off daydreams.You can also customise it the way you want with the options given, like clock, currents, google photos etc.
