So I've never dropped my s6 edge. It's only 20 days old in fact. However today all of a sudden the touch screen will not work. The two bottom buttons work as does the fingerprint work so I can unlock the phone and see the home screen but not do anything else. Typically if battery pull to fix something like this, however of course this is not possible on the s6.

So I've held the power button for 30 secs and it won't turn off cos it wants me too press the screen power off button, I've tried restarting it by booting it into download mode.

Is there any point factory restoringbit to see if that fixes it.

Worst thing is im going on holiday on Saturday :(

Bring it to the carrier - it's still under warranty. If all you tell them is that it "just stopped working" they'll do what they do in your country for phones that die young - fix or replace. It's a hardware problem (maybe something as simple as the connector got knocked loose), so there's nothing you can do from outside the phone to fix it.

Do a simulated battery pull. Hold the power button and the down volume at the same time it will bring up a screen to let you reset your phone
