Screen times out and makes lock noise

I have had multiple galaxy phones, including the s6, s7edge and now the s7 and the only time the phone made the lock sound was when I physically hit the lock button. If the screen timed out in 30 seconds it would just shut off, but the s7 I have will actually time out and be sitting on my desk and make the lock sound. Is there a setting for this I am not seeing?

If you go into settings and then sounds there is an option to turn lock sounds on and off.

I know I can turn off the lock sound but I never did turn it off on my other Galaxy devices and the lock sound only occurred when I hit the lock button, not when the screen timed out on its own. You get what I'm saying?

Yes. It's part of the OS in Marshmallow. Mine does it too.
