...has anyone noticed that from time to time, or even often, you have to press certain things more than once for it to select?

I've not noticed this with typing, but just with selecting menus and the likes on the device.

As always, curious.

I have an Invisible Shield on it. But, was curious if people without anything on it have the same issue.

Yes and I'm a freak about keeping the screen clean. The digitizer doesn't work as well as the one on my 4S. I have to press really firm sometimes to get it to register.

Do u use ur phone while its charged if u do that why....when I had my screen cover on it it use to mess up sometimes when I was charging it and using it when I took it off then it worked fine and I had the skinomi techskin

Can't say I've noticed it skipping key presses. But if it happens rarely or very irregularly I probably just don't notice.

Been paying attention since I read this thread earlier, and it's been perfect.

I often have the opposite problem. My finger will hover over the screen and without touching it will make a selection.

Anyone coming from an iPhone (like me) will notice this problem. iPhone is the king of screen touch input. No lag at all. I have noticed this every time I try out android phones, often having to touch more than once to make a selection. Not sure why the android phone developers can't get this right.

Happened to me once too! It was quietly brilliant. ;)

It's really off when you're charging it. I've not had this problem on other phones. Why is it a problem on this one?

I had that problem on my Rezound: if it was on the charger & reached 100% the touch response was horrible. If it was less than 100% charged, or I took it off the charger after it reached 100% it was fine.

So far the only time I've noticed this on my HOX has been in the browser when trying to click links, so I'm not sure if it is screen response or just a quirk of the browser. (Right now I'm leaning towards the latter because I notice it much more on certain sites than others, e.g. the mobile version of Google News.)
