So I cracked my screen really bad. And I t had to be replaced. I saw online how easy it was and I did it myself. Everything works great except that when using the earpiece, either call or visual voicemail, the screen totally goes black. The earpiece still works and the phone is still on. But the screen just cuts out. Did I mess something up? Or can it be fixed with a new earpiece. Because nothing else causes this issue.

Do you have a screen saver of some type on the phone? They sometimes cause this because the sensor pucks it up like the phone is touching your face. Just a thought.

No. I don't believe I do. Also sometimes the screen will go off and won't go back on until I plug it in or take out and replace the battery. And sometimes double tap doesn't quite work. I think I may have really messed things up.

Are you reasonably sure that whatever caused the crack, did not also do other damage, of which you are unaware?

Postive 100% Nothing like this happened prior to my work. I am gussing it is the earpiece that is the cause. But I was others help first.

Yeah. The power button really doesn't wanna work when it's off. But will when it's off off. What do i do?

So research has led me to finding out this is a common issue with 6 and is a problem with the proximity sensor. That explains the phone call issue. I tried to access the secret menu to calibrate the sensor but evrytime I call it it says it's invalid. What do i do now?
