Screen turns on when I receive a text.

I did figure out how to change the LED blink speed though. By default its set to stay lit. Change speed to normal or whatever and it works. For MMS, its a slideshow if someone includes text along with it.

I have never had a mms come up as a slide show....ive been using handcent since OG

I do have my mms set to auto download, not sure if that makes a difference or not...

What 3rd party messaging app you're using?
I'm using Handcent, and they're still coming in as slide shows if pictures are sent along with text.

strange enough my wife has a verizon and T-mobile note 2. They are actually somewhat different being that t-mobile lets you make calls over wifi by default while the verizon phone does not. Also, the verizon phone lights up the screen when you get a text while t-mobile does not.

There hasn't been a good fix for this yet huh?
