I was in my car today and walked outside at about 3pm not too sunny, but I looked at my phone and it was as if the display was off. I couldnt find the settings for the brightness and had to wait til I went inside to bring it up to see the screen. The screen protector (the verizon htc one) made it look even harder to see all I saw were finger prints. I don't think my og droid was this hard to see but I could be wrong. anyone else experience this?

I know most phones are hard to see when you're out in the day I guess I need to have brightness on max

I have mine set to auto brightness.

It is harder to see outside, but the auto brightness helps a little without draining the battery as much and making it too bright at night.

Brightness Levels by Curvefish I believe.

I just read in the description for that app and it said, "DOESN'T WORKS ON ROMS WITH SENSE UI". Yes, it actually says "WORKS". That wasn't a typo on my part.

Can anyone confirm or debunk this?

it works perfectly

Hum, odd, maybe they're talking about custom sense UIs. But on my stock Bolt it works fine. I'm talking about this one-

Yep. That's the same one I was looking at.

It even says in the description on the page you linked that it doesn't work with Sense UI, but it's been confirmed to be working on the Thunderbolt.

They must be talking about custom ROM's, I guess.

If I still had my Incredible I would try it.
