Screen visibility outdoors??

Hey all, can anyone tell me what the screen quality/brightness is like on this device outdoors, especially in bright sunlight?

My thunderbolt was HORRIBLE, but my iPhone 4s and Droid x and Droid x2 were awesome!!!

I know its late fall/early winter but someone, somewhere surely has taken this thing out in some sunlight, right?!?!

Auto brightness doesn't really get bright enough, but if you raise the brightness manually it's easily visible in sunlight.

you know good question I have no idea as I spent all day yesterday inside playing w my gnex. But I can't hibernate all day today so I'll def check it out and report back

Anything has to be better than the Thunderbolt. That's the only reason I feel a little bad about giving my mom the Thunderbolt. Other than that it is a pretty decent phone.
