Screen wakes when charging

So why does the screen wake to announce that the battery has charged another 1%? Seems counter - productive. And annoying at night.

Yes, that would be annoying to be sure! Can you put it face down perhaps... That's what I do cos She Who Must be Obeyed doesn't like the led...

Yep. And at least it doesn't ding for each percentage

In developer options you have a setting that keeps the screen awake while charging.. And the beep can be turned off also in sounds and vibrations... Charging sounds...

Mine never turns on while charging unless I turn it on.
