Screen will not all the time lock anymore :(

Hi, I just bought the Samsung s8plus along with the official cases. I had my screen always on lock when I closed my case, but the other day I got a question on my phone if I did not want my screen to stay unlocked even if I closed my case. I said yes. I think the question came from Google, but I'm not sure. But now I changed my mind and I want my screen always to be locked. Do you know where I can fix this? I don't want to reset my phone. I tried every type of setting, nothing works .

Did anyone else get a type of question like that on their phone?

I feel like there's some Smart Lock setting on Android that is keeping it unlocked. Some of the options are if it's still on your body like in your pocket or purse, a specific location, or connected to a specific Bluetooth device. Are any of these applicable?

Aaah, first world problems, I know . But still...

Apps that can lock the screen immediately have Device Administrator/tion privileges.

Are you using Nova Launcher or another custom launcher? If Nova, go to Nova settings and to the bottom of the settings page, under Advanced, the last setting is for screen lock method.

A couple of ideas. First you could try taking the case off and restart the phone. Put the case back and see if you get the same selection menu.

Another possibility is if you reset app preferences. Most likely this will reset that choice you are talking about. Better waiting a little bit more before doing this and see if anybody else has a better idea on how to change that particular setting.

So, I just tried something else. I have both the led view cover Samsung case and the clear standing view cover Samsung case.

This whole day I had the clear standing view cover on my phone. With this nothing helped...I tried all your tips. Thank you again.

Then I switched to the led view cover case and now my screen immediatly locks when I close the case. Weirdest thing...

So, I assume it must be the case then?

Super weird! But anyhow... Problem is halffixed I guess.

So sorry to bother you with this luxury problem of mine .
