Ever since I upgraded my Verizon Galaxy S6 Edge Plus to Marshmallow, I am experiencing something new with my screen.

Whenever I have my countdown timer on and I turn off the screen, it immediately turns back on. The lock screen will eventually dim, but it will not stay off.

Has anyone else experienced this?
Is there a way to fix this?

Does this happen only when the phone is plugged into a charger, or even when unplugged?

By the way, I'm going to move this to the S6 edge+ forum, since issues like this are typically more related to the specific device, rather than Marshmallow in general.

This occurs even when unplugged.
I posted here because this never happened until I updated, so it seemed to be software related.

Interesting. Some 3rd party app was probably interfering, and it may be that upon exiting Safe Mode, that app hasn't had the chance to restart yet. Keep an eye out for a recurrence.
