Screen wont shut off when talking on phone. LG G3

Hello, I cannot shut down the screen when on the phone, even when I change the screen timeout to 15 seconds. This is a huge power drain, and even when charging through my USB port, it discharges the battery faster than it charges it. I have look at the setting and I dont see anything out of the ordinary.

Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Android Central! The proximity sensor might be faulty. Use an app like CPU-Z to check if the sensor is functioning correctly.

I guess I should be more clear. I use the speakerphone quit a bit and need a way to turn the screen off when the phone is in use, but on speakerphone.

Oh I see. Can you just press the Power button to turn off the screen, or would that be dangerous because you're driving or something?

Because when I hit the button on the back, it disconnects the calls. Im looking for a way to shut down the screen, which is the biggest power drain while still on the phone and talking on speakerphone. IE.

Go to Settings>Accessibility​--there should be an option there to make the Power button hang up calls. Turn that option off.

Yep. got it B. Diddy. I had to search, but it came up under Accessibility > Vision.
