My phone keeps showing 62%. I try to turn it on, but nothing happens. Earlier, my phone shut off out of nowhere and it said 1% remaining and that I had to charge it. I charged it for a while and tried turning back on again. It didn't work so I took out the battery and put it back in again. It jumped from 9% to saying 62%. What's going on and how do I turn it on again? Any possible causes might be me using a new portable charger with a new micro USB charger.

Could be bootloop. Try another battery, if doesn't work send off for repair.

I'm pretty sure it's not bootloop. It's not restarting, but rather just stuck on the battery screen (it will shut off the screen though). I've already had the bootloop issue and got a new one.

False alarm! It started working again after I took the battery for a while and put it back in. Thank god that I didn't suffer the bootloop another time.

Bootloop isn't necessarily one thing. When my last G4 went it did exactly what you described your handset do. This is my 3rd G4! My advice to you is start looking for another handset, or if under warranty ask for replacement.
