Anyone else opened the factory sealed box, peeled off the protective film to find greasy smears on the screen (might be fingerprints)?

Mine had a smudge on the top speaker, have it a wipe and it dissapeared.

Just wondering why this really matters. Can't you just clean it?

Sorry I wasn't very clear on the post plus I have also managed to post this twice!

What I meant to say was that the smears are clearly on the inside of the screen as you cannot wipe them off.... I'm assuming this happened during assembly of the screen components and was wondering if this is isolated to just my phone or others have the same issue

Sorry.I have not heard of anyone else having this problem. Just take it back and get a new one.

No, mine was perfectly clean. Wow, what a bummer... I'd definitely exchange it.

Get an exchange, no brainer. I'd be straight back to the store and wouldn't leave without a new sealed handset that I had checked myself. It's unfortunate that it got through quality control but I suppose when you are churning out these things by the million the odd one is bound to get through. Samsung and Apple's quality control is certainly not perfect either and I think you were just unlucky.
