Screenrecord with 4.4 KitKat

So i am in a weird position where I can't upgrade to Lollipop because T-mobile sucks and those screenrecord apps dont work unless i have Lollipop or root my phone. I really don't want to root my phone, so whats a good way to upgrade to Lollipop without using my service provider or another way to record my screen without those weird apps. Anyhelp would be appriated, hopefully a lollipop upgrade though
