I'm hoping so,one can help me, but I am trying to find a way to hide my app history from one of those pay-for-play apps. Whenever you click on an offer link it takes you to the Google play store and the app is downloaded. I reset my device with a different google but it still shows me as having downloaded the app before.

I'm thinking I need to change or hide my IMEI but I'm not sure what info is being used to determine this. I
Whatever I do needs to be accomplished WITHOUT root. The device I'm using is not capable of being rooted. So it needs to be done via ADB,Shizuku, or other apps made to circumvent root requirements.

Anyone who can help me figure this out would be a huge lifesaver and ,much appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any advice provided. :)

That's odd. The Play Store history is only saved on a per-account basis (I use two different accounts on my phone and both have separate app lists). Are you sure these are being downloaded from the Play Store and not a 3rd party one? If you go to the web version (play.google.com) and see the app history there, does it change with different accounts?

Maybe It's the cosmic rewards app getting the info? I've even wondered if it's my internet connection/location info being used.

But,to answer your question, there appears to be no prior history shown when I check play.google.com.

Whenever you click on an offer in the app, it links to a web page and then redirects to the play store. Maybe if I tried unistalling the browsers on the phone and use something like Brave or Soul Browser?

I think it's the "offers" that are the problem. I don't think a change in browsers would do anything.

Unless you're using Chrome. I'd avoid that at all costs.

The app has usage/accessibility and overlay permissions. The last time I installed this app, it didn't give me the "new user" issue until the next day. Upon first install it does a really quick deep link and browser redirect to the play store.

I have been using Google Chrome. I'm going to try using soul browser. Maybe that will make a difference

It's called cosmic rewards. It's not an ad, it's one of the app options the app has available . My bfs little Brothers use my phone/tablet sometimes and download any game they can find. So they downloaded the game before but I never actually played it. I tried factory resetting my tablet and using a new Google account but somehow it's still getting info enough to know the app was on the device before

That's strange that it would follow with new google account, like I have list of devices the app can be installed on but they would have to be under same google account , my screenshot below

Yea I don't understand at all. The only possibilities I have considered are that it's my wifi connection/ip/location.

There's a couple possibilities...maybe? When I first set up my account and login to the app, it asks permission to download information from my Google account: name,age,etc...

Maybe my google location informations is being used? Orrr...it could be because the Google account was first made on a device that had the app installed already. Cuz I couldn't make the account on the tablet that this happened on. It was making me do phone verification and I don't have a non-voip phone number.

Yeah, this is not coming from the Play Store or your Google account; it's the app itself. If it's been installed on a device previously (regardless of the account) it can store the phone's unique identifiers (i.e. MAC, IMEI, etc.) and those don't change with a factory reset or be easily 'spoofed' without root access.
