Hey guys,
I used the Daydream function in marshmallow a lot because my phone sits on a dock at night. It was great that it displayed the time in very very low light. With nougat now the back and home buttons stay on the entire time and they're very bright. Do these go away at all? I'm worried about screen burn-in if I use this feature for eight hours every night.

I haven't gotten Nougat on my 6P yet, so I'll look at this again when it happens ...

I just discovered that after a few minutes the buttons do Fade a bit, so they're not as bright but they're still on the screen.

I'll agree with you that after about 3 minutes the two buttons do get dimmer, but they're always there, so there's a good possibility of screen burn-in due to that.

I don't see any place to turn that off. And unfortunately I never used that on Marshmallow so I can't say if the behavior is different. Sorry.
