Screenshot - - -> edit?

Is there a setting a where that will let me snap a SS and go straight to editing it? This was a HUGE feature of smart select on the Note 7 for me. Probably the feature I miss the most.

And then what? There aren't any options to edit.

Go to google photos, click on the hamburger menu and select device folders. Find your SS and then you can edit it.

You can edit, but you cannot annotate, which it the biggest thing I miss about the S pen. So much easier with the pen and software.

LG v20 has the screen capture feature and allows you to edit or annotate instantly....once again google really misses the boat on certain key features that are in other phones .....

Exactly, that is a lot of steps and not what I expect from the "Ultimate Android experience"

I click on the notification, then on "edit" from the photo viewer that is defaulted... Two taps.

Maybe. There are other screen writing apps too. still this is one of the areas the Note series is going to win for the foreseeable future.

I've used Sketch by Sony to do some markups on pictures. Annotate works good but I wish they had some arrows and editor symbols.

I think Evernote used to have a better one but they killed it.

Ok, I finally got home to my tablet (Nexus 9) and this is what I use on it to annotate the screen. I think it works pretty well.

Will it add shapes like arrows and boxes? Highlighting? That and annotations are pretty much what I'm looking for. Hand drawn arrows and boxes look sloppy.

It highlights for sure, I don't remember it having shapes.
