Screenshot from png to jpg.

Is there a setting to change the default screenshot from png to jpg? I have to open the screenshot in an editing app and save it as a jpg. It's only one step, I know, but I am getting lazy in my old age. Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm not sure if it's possible to change the default format without root. Seems having a 3rd party app is your best bet right now. Opinions, anyone?

Well, then I will have to live with it. I am hesitant to root my phone. I have just enough tech knowledge to be dangerous. I haven't messed with an OS changes since my Blackberry days. Thanks for the help.

I don't think even rooting will allow you to change that. (Just changing the filename to .jpg will give you an unreadable .png file, because it's named wrong.) You'd probably have to rewrite the screenshot function, and make it create a .jpg file.

I just open the pic in a photo editing app and "save as".Works, but I would rather just screenshot a .jpg
