"Screenshots" album just disappeared...

So, out of no where, my album titled "Screenshots" just disappeared out of my gallery. I restarted the phone, but it still didn't come back. Any suggestions?

Open Files and do a search in the S5 index.

It should be under Pictures/Screenshots

Or, just connect via USB to a PC and browse thru the folders that way.

If the folder is still on the S5, then your Gallery has gotten confused somehow.

I did the search...only one screenshot comes up..the test one I just took -_- I am absolutely certain I didn't delete the album... this is super frustrating.

Well, it would seem that somehow, the files were erased.

I transfer all of my screenshots to my PC and refer to them there.

a 24 inch monitor screen is a lot easier on my eyes than the small display of the phone.

Hi. This just happened to me, too... only I lost all m albums except camera uploads?!? Have you found a way to fix this?

Same thing here on my galaxy grand prime....pretty disappointing

The only way a folder will "disappear" from the Gallery is if you empty the pictures from that folder. You either moved them off the phone, moved to another folder or deleted the pictures in the folder.

Check your device for Google Drive...you should see the screens hots there

This just happened to me ony Nexus 4. Only the screenshots are missing. Over 125. I woke up and there were none in my folder. I did not update anything and was not working in any other folders. Ant explanation for this?

the same thing happened to me a few days ago
i had over 900 screenshots of amazing art ,that i used as reference

Welcome to Android Central! Do you have an S5, or some other device? Does it have a "phone cleanup" app or feature that periodically deletes files from places like the Download folder (and possibly the Screenshots folder)?

Same thing happened to me today I've recovered my screenshots from an app called "quickpic" but it is really frustrating I want my album back in gallery

I own a Moto G4 play,and i somehow ended up pinpointing the exact time when it got deleted.I had opened WhatsApp,was sending a pic to a friend, WhatsApp hung,and the next thing shown was "1 Item deleted".I hurried back to my gallery to know if my fears were true.Turns out,they were.So it may be because of WhatsApp.Another reason to support this is because this is not a software problem of an individual phone,it's rather happening with many phones, and every phone has at least 1 app in common, WhatsApp.So I strongly suspect it happened after the latest update of WhatsApp,because it was fine before that.
