does facebook app kill battery? i noticed it had a widget that showed news feed n deleted that widget, and had it set up update every 4 hours instead of 1

what about weather widget, i turned off the location thing just in case..

The weather widget is called news and weather and came stock, you can choose just weather. It won't "kill" your battery but it does use it. You can change the interval it looks I'm pretty sure. Facebook as an app won't kill your battery either, you can always shut it down with the task manager if you're worried.

Edit: You can indeed change the refresh interval.
