Scrolling screenshots....

not quite sure I understand the issue and never tried before but I just did a screen shot of Fox News using power/volume down button. At the bottom I get a "capture more" option. If I click on that I get screen where I can drag down to highlight the entire long article and ads. It then gives me an option to save. I then go into my screenshot folder and I can zoom in to see larger text and it also gives me the option to use lens to search. Is this what you guys are talking about?

I am able to do the same thing. But, I'm only able to capture the screenshot to the extent it appears on my screen, if that makes sense. If the webpage is longer than that, I'm unable to continue to capture the rest of the webpage using this tool. I'm probably not doing a good job of explaining this.

Are doing screenshot from recent app or article in web page then screenshot? The recent app way i cant scroll more

I'm in the middle of a lengthy article and am trying to capture 3 or 4 pages as a screenshot to share. When I take a screenshot on my P6P, I'm only able to capture a maximum of about a page of what I'm trying to copy...I can only scroll down so far and it stops. When I do the same thing using my S21U, same article, I'm able to hit the capture button over and over to capture as much of the article as I want so that the screenshot is as long as I want it to be. I don't seem to be about to do the same with the Pixel. It's not a big deal but thought I'd ask here in case I was just missing something obvious.

Ok but if you take a screenshot in middle of the article with buttons it allows you to scroll more if you do it in recent app it wont only that picture

I see what you're saying. Yes, I'm using the power and volume down buttons to take the screenshot. I do get the option to capture more of the screenshot but the capture feature stops at the bottom portion of the screenshot that is visible on my screen even though the article is much longer than is shown. I'm unable to continue to capture more of the article to be part of the screenshot.

I see , maybe try another article? Or it doesn't do that for every website

No luck with other articles. This is a pic of the screenshot of the article after I've tried to capture more of it. I've pulled down to the bottom of what appears on my screen but cannot continue to capture anymore of the article.

Same here. There appears to be a finite length to the screenshot that can be captured even though the page is longer.

Is this your MyMail app again? I wonder if it could be another idiosyncrasy of that app. Are you able to access that email using another email app, and then see if the scrolling screenshot works better that way?

Yes, this problem is a result of trying to solve the problem of moving emailed photos to my Gallery. I was trying a workaround with the Scrolling Screenshot.
Dumb me didn't realize that I also had Gmail installed on my phone.
It was a simple matter to reactivate it, and there was the email that I was working with. I was a simple matter to open that email and since Gmail has a built-in function to move the photos, my original problem was solved.
I don't forsee a need to use the Scrolling Screenshot in the future, I'm forgetting that problem.
If it wasn't for your guidance, I would have given up.
Now I can continue to use MyMail and repeat the process above when I need it. Thanks again
